Erin Brown Conroy teaches in the Professional and Graduate Studies division at Cornerstone University as adjunct faculty in Leadership, Individual and Group Behavior, Motivation and Behavior, Conflict Management & Negotiation, Organizational Development, Strategic Management, Health and Wellness, and Writing. For Patrick Henry College in Virginia, Erin is the online Research & Writing instructor for students across the US and North America. Erin also teaches seminars and courses for adults, teens, and children on relationships, education, and learning and coaches a Young Writer's Group of aspiring teen authors.

Erin comes to the table with solid academic background and experience. Erin received her bachelor's degree in education (1981) and master's degree in rehabilitation (1991) from Western Michigan University.  Her experience crosses a wide range of environments, from classroom instruction to one-on-one special education instruction to university instruction of adult leaders.  As an expert in education and child development, Erin's served on professional and parent boards since the early 80's.  A speaker to audiences for over 15 years, she continues to enjoy meeting people at conferences and workshops all across the nation.

Erin's a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and has consulted with families and their children since the late 1970's. She's a long-time member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and is actively involved in writing curriculum for all age levels. A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SBCWI) and the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), Erin's writes young adult (YA) fiction, fantasy, chic lit, and mommy lit.

Erin connects with and inspires “special family and child populations” in personal speaking engagements, including adoptive families and professionals, educators, and home schooling families. Through workshops and websites, Erin encourages and motivates with practical ideas and insight.

Erin's credibility and expertise is grounded in the practical daily life as parent of 13 children ranging in age from six to 26, with personal experience regarding physical, emotional, and developmental challenges, adoption and attachment issues, single and step parenting questions, gifted children, ADHD, educational concerns, learning differences, and behavioral issues. Three of her children are by birth, two are step sons through her blended family, and eight of Erin’s children are adopted from various backgrounds, abilities, and cultures from around the world. Whether it's through speaking to audiences or helping families one-on-one, it's especially nice to have an "expert" with the higher level of credibility that comes through personal experience.

But more importantly, Erin relates in authentic, straightforward connection to every day people. Personal and clear communication, high motivation, and healthy practical living are what Erin’s all about.

Erin travels from Southwest Michigan, where she lives with her husband, Shawn, and 9 of their 13 children still living at home.
